Occupancy Index
On the Environment screen, the Occupancy Index card shows a different kind of reading: instead of one sensor's raw value, this is a per-space estimate of how occupied a room is, blended from several signals at once (VOC, humidity, temperature trend, and Wi-Fi client count).
What you'll see
- A space picker — appears whenever the site has any spaces registered and drives every card on the screen, including the Weather Response Profile panel below. The first space is auto-selected.
- A chart with the actual history plotted as a solid line, continuing into a dashed predicted line for the near future, with a shaded band showing the range of uncertainty around that prediction.
- A confidence statement in words underneath the chart — never a bare percentage. You'll see something like "Still learning this space's pattern — 3 of 7 days," "low confidence," or "based on 12 days of history," depending on how much the space has actually accumulated.
Why it matters
An occupancy estimate that looks precise before it's earned that precision is worse than useless — it's actively misleading. Stating the confidence honestly, in plain words, means you can tell a real pattern from a system still finding its feet.
