Overview (Basic Tier)
If your account is set to Basic expertise, you get a deliberately different, much simpler app: three questions instead of a full navigation menu.
The three questions
- "The Wi-Fi here" — how is the network at this site doing overall?
- "Just my device" — how is my specific device doing?
- "What happened?" — build a plain-language report about a specific problem.
These appear as header pills you switch between. A fourth, persistent header control — "My Requests", with a badge showing how many are open — sits alongside the three pills at all times, so you can always get back to something you've already reported.
Everything else in the full app (Settings tabs, Report Builder, etc.) either doesn't apply to Basic users or is intentionally out of reach — the goal is a small number of clear entry points instead of a full technical dashboard.
Why it matters
Not everyone wants (or needs) to learn about BSSIDs, RSSI, or airtime utilization just to find out if the Wi-Fi is fine or to report a problem with their laptop. This is the same underlying data and diagnostic engine as the full app, presented through three plain questions instead.
